BioPuff®: A next-gen Insulation

BioPuff® is a bio-based insulation designed to keep you warm while regenerating damaged wetlands. This increases biodiversity, captures carbon, and ensures a more resilient farming industry for the future. 

BioPuff® is warm and puffy, with a natural cluster structure that creates a lofty material, perfect for insulation. The cellulosic wetland fibres are completely natural, free from chemical processing, preserving their pure, natural form and colors. 

BioPuff® is cruelty-free and traceable all the way from plant to puffer.

Sustainable Composition and Care:

- Main Fabric: 100% recycled polyester
- Filling: BioPuff®: 60% other fibres and 40% recycled polyester with enhanced biodegradation. Total filling weight: 335 g
- Lining: 100% polyester

End-of-Life Commitment:

This jacket is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating BioPuff®'s natural typha fibres, chemical-free processing, and a blend of recycled polyester fibres enhanced for biodegradation: 93.8% in 646 days (landfill, ASTM D5511), 76.6% in 973 days (marine/ocean, ASTM D6691), and 17.8% in 241 days (wastewater, ASTM D5210).
The recycled polyester outer shell and virgin polyester lining are also suitable for recycling, ensuring a responsible end of life.

Care Instructions:

Cold Washing Machine Cycle 20-30 Minutes. Use a vegetable oil based detergent only. Do not use surfactant based detergents. 600 spin. Before drying ensure filling is evenly distributed throughout each baffle. Air Dry Flat recommended or Tumble Dry below 50 degrees until completely dry (3 hours minimum). Use Tumble dry balls to reloft fibre. Do not hand wash. Do not iron. Do not bleach.

Washing clothes less often conserves water, energy, and reduces pollution, extending garment lifespan. Wipe garments when possible and wash only as needed to maintain filling fiber integrity. BioPuff® includes natural waxes that enhance performance but diminish with washing.
